What would an [...]]]> The main goal of our summer camp program is to have you child learn and explore the world of computers in a fun and interactive environment. Children will be taught about the inner workings of computer/networks, graphic design, web design, flash animation, movie making using Windows Movie Maker and video game design.

What would an iPLAY camp be without some time to play games. All games that will be played during the camp week will feature co-operation and teamwork. Children will be grouped together and taught how to play real-time strategy (RTS) games where teamwork and communication are paramount.

Daily physical activity/sports will also be included in the program, which will once again feature teamwork and cooperation among the children.

Sessions are from Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM (with early drop off after 8:30 am).

The fee for the complete 5-Day Program is $245.00+GST (Lunch is included).

Although there is no age restriction, the camp is geared toward children 9 years of age and older.

RTS games are the most intellectually [...]]]> The iPLAY March Break Computer Camp for Kids is a perfect way for your kids to learn and have fun during Spring Break. This year’s camp program is designed with a ton of FUN activities for your child as they explore the world of Real-Time Strategy Games (RTS).

RTS games are the most intellectually demanding game genre as players need to manage and multi-task in real time to out-think and out-strategize their opponents. Players need to manage resources, build units, upgrade units and allocate their units to out-smart their opponents. The multi-player aspect of these games makes it even more dynamic as players have to strategize, communicate and work together with multiple teammates. It’s like chess on steroids!

We will be using games like Warcraft: 3, Rise of Nations and Starcraft for our camp. No experience required as instructors will teach the kids from the ‘ground up’ culminating in fun tournaments each day as the campers put their knowledge to use.

The iPLAY March Break RTS camp is happening March 12-15 and includes a daily lunch.

There will be food, drinks, tournaments, prizes and games, Games, GAMES!!! happening throughout the night.
